Memes are a shared cultural experience. Back in the day, we had just a few channels on TV. So, when I went to school the following day, everyone would talk about the same thing — whatever show was popular the night before. Now, with so many entertainment choices, we’ve lost some of that collective experience. Memes fill that gap.

I agree. I used Shib to teach my nieces and granddaughter how to engage with crypto, and now they have small sums of BTC and ETH and understand how to use them. That’s a huge step for them in crypto.
While there are some genuinely usable meme coins, most of them are scams.

Most importantly: Not collapsing in three to six months after launch.
Other factors:
Great for tipping (low fees)
Strong ecosystem
Developers who genuinely care about the project
Make the creators wealthy!

Coins like CUMMIES have real potential use, mainly to tip adult content creators if I recall. It’s just amusing to say you have CUMMIES, and that makes for catchy marketing.

Cumrocket was the one meme coin I almost bought. Cummies is probably the best-named meme coin running right now.
None of them do anything. A dollar is also a meme. They’re all memes, each classified based on what we all agree upon.
