What is the best coin to buy right now

I am new to this and I am wondering what the best coin to buy right now is for the upcoming bull run

Honestly, most of the advice here isn’t great.

The person who posted this should do their own research. People will suggest coins they are personally invested in

You’re absolutely right. Make sure to do your own research, base your choices on data rather than excitement. The chances of finding a 100x meme coin are really low

Well of course, if someone didn’t believe in their coin, they wouldn’t have invested in it. They are putting their money where their beliefs are. I’m not saying it will make anyone rich, just that it’s a truthful response

@Levi
Yes that’s pretty much my point.

But I would add that there are many people holding onto coins they no longer believe in

Those people likely held onto their investments too long during the last bull run until everything dropped significantly. You can avoid those coins if you stick with ones that haven’t seen a bull run yet

Bitcoin is a safe bet. With the reward halving coming in less than 2 months, it always leads the charge in crypto bull runs.

I’m surprised no one has discussed Ethereum in detail. It’s the second largest crypto and acts like a decentralized supercomputer. Many cryptos are built on the Ethereum framework and it typically moves with or even ahead of Bitcoin in bull runs.

That said, there is good advice in this discussion. Crypto is a risky place to invest. Make sure you research well and grasp the risks involved. Never invest more than you can afford to lose and don’t put all your money into one asset

In my opinion, it comes down to the risk versus reward. Crypto can be very risky. Out of all the coins, Bitcoin seems to have the least risk. I believe it is more likely to double in the next 6 months than to drop. However, Bitcoin is unlikely to 10x or 20x soon given its large market cap. I am quite optimistic about Bitcoin and think it could break $100k in six months. I don’t share that kind of optimism with stocks. I also think Ethereum will follow a similar path.

There are a lot of coins that might 10x within a year, but those coins could also lose 90% of their value.

I’m keeping it simple with Bitcoin and Ethereum and would be happy with an 80 to 100% gain over the next year. It’s fun to put a little money into something that might really take off. For me, I like HNT and MOBILE (Helium Mobile). I don’t think Gemini offers those

Bull markets can turn into bear markets without warning. If it were that predictable, we would all be rich. Bulls make money, bears make money, but greedy investors often get burned

You’re mistaken. Go learn about ISO 20022 compliant cryptocurrencies

You need to educate yourself. Do it

@douglasstem
None of those coins are decentralized hard money. I’ve read up on the topic and know what you mean

If you’re referring to decentralized money then I was not staying on topic. I just meant those coins are legitimate and shouldn’t be considered scams. (We can argue what a scam is, but I think you get my point)

I’ve had success with Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana while struggling with FIL and AMP. The only thing I’m still buying is AMP
