What are the signs that a cryptocurrency project might be a scam?

Hey y’all! So I’m kinda new to this crypto world. Been seeing lots of projects lately, but some seem a bit sus. What are the signs a crypto might be a scam? Don’t wanna lose my savings! :grimacing:

Oh girl, trust your gut on that one! If a project’s promising crazy returns like “10x in a month,” it’s probably a scam. :triangular_flag_on_post: No legit project can guarantee that kinda gain.

Facts. Also, if the dev team is anonymous or you can’t find any info about them, BIG red flag. I like to stick with projects where the team’s transparent and actually known in the community. :eyes:

Yup, team transparency is HUGE. I’ve seen so many “rug pulls” where the devs just vanish with everyone’s money. If their socials or website feel sketchy, stay far away. :man_running:

Another thing—watch out for projects that are only hyped on TikTok or Instagram. If the whole thing feels like a marketing scheme, it probably is. No real utility = :door::arrow_right:

Oh, true! I’ve seen some coins blow up on TikTok, but I never know if it’s just hype or something legit. So, social media buzz isn’t always a good thing, huh?

Exactly! Social media can pump a coin fast, but if the fundamentals aren’t there, it’ll crash just as hard. Also, if there’s no actual use case or the whitepaper is super vague… run! :running_woman:
