Check the From address at all times. Exchanges typically use your initial name to address you as well, but if fraudsters also compromise that, your best option is to contact support via the DOT COM version of the website (for instance, crypto.com or kraken.com) and request help.

I got the same email. I was confused about what was happening. I usually check directly on Coinbase for alerts but there was nothing

Use this rule: NEVER click on a link from email or SMS. I mean never, not even once even if the address looks real. Always go to the app or website to verify any alerts. If you follow this rule, you’ll greatly reduce the chance of being scammed. Don’t think it can’t happen to you because it might one day
