The theory that one stock turns into four stocks has no impact on shorts as they just fire up the synthetic printer to spit out more shares. Brokers multiply the count by 4 and display that number on their screen while dividing the price by 4. Shorts are confident as they have done it again. GME is one of the only companies shorted above 100% of the float and is working on a Crypto wallet and NFT exchange. O Stock released a crypto dividend to squash shorts and have the price shoot up 17x in 4 months.
A person with a billion dollars in stock in a company (RC) takes a pivot to technology and web 3.0, building a wallet and marketplace and gaining hundreds of thousands of loyal customers and investors. They delight shareholders by releasing a non fungible token tied to each split share. This token will be traded on a marketplace that is about to be launched and will have natural volume from their own shareholders who are also their most loyal customers.
The stock dividend was never going to squash the shorts. The GME board of directors increased the share count exposure by 4x, and the value of the short is unchanged because the price has been adjusted. When shorts have to buy up 4x the NFT every time GME releases a NFT dividend or split, fireworks can occur.
TL;DR: Buy, Hold, Shop and DRS.

The best part about this is we wouldn’t even need to sell any shares at all - the NFT could be worth loads on its own.
Why sell shares? If the whole float can be locked for max 2 years and go private, I’d prefer to have a lifetime of my share of company sales. Just sell your quarterly NFT dividend in the meantime or take a loan against your shares in the future.
@Dex
Exactly! There will always be a demand as hedge funds need to acquire as many as they can. It’s an endless struggle for them, which they truly deserve.

Yeah… I still really think I need that little price boost that happens around a stock split dividend so I can pay off debts and buy my ex out of the house and get a divorce. I need at least 40k after taxes because I need to keep my shares safe. She has put in writing that she will go after half just to mess with me, even though it should be a fair division of assets. She’s also trying to go after my VA disability.
While I was fishing for my birthday, she moved our entire kitchen set to her grandma’s (probably around a thousand dollars) and has taken most of the furniture already. She’s piling up debt and using our grocery money for her dates and clothes while I try to pay down what’s left just to get by. I have a salary of 115k plus my disability income, and I’m just scraping by while paying for everything and not able to enjoy anything myself (I’ve had to hide my hobbies until they just became GME) even after getting a second job, while she has paid off 30k in student loans.
I really need a solid stock price squeeze. I need lawyers to take me seriously to protect my GME, because otherwise, she will try to take everything. She’s also saying we need to sell the house to pay off her debts so she can move up to be with a new boyfriend, but I just want to buy her out. I want to stay in my community, where my GME earnings could be used to help others. This money isn’t truly mine. I invested my own cash (even her shares were bought with my money) and my earnings are for the community. I can’t let her take half just to get back at me - I have my mortgages, repairs to make, and a community of indigenous folks to help return home.
If anyone knows great foundation lawyers in MA or has connections to someone who can help, please reach out. My divorce attorney thinks I’m overreacting about the whole GameStop situation. I have $900 in my account and $5,800 in our joint savings which she constantly questions me about. I can’t let her take my XXX shares for a quick dollar, which is what she would do. I had to convince her not to use our savings to pay off the credit card she keeps swiping, because that money is from my old pre-marital 401k. This isn’t just ours. This is about making a difference.
