Worldcoin has dropped from 6 to 4.5 recently, and I’m starting to worry. I really don’t want to lose more money than I already have. It would be a big blow to my finances. Can anyone help me out and let me know whether I should hold or sell? Any thoughts on how high or low the price might go?
I’m in this for the long run, not selling. When I first invested, I saw my money drop 90%, but I waited it out and saw a 500% gain. I’m still holding, and I’m up 200% today.
So, just be patient. Only invest what you can afford to lose.
Good luck
Big blow to your finances? You only lose when you sell.

That’s the worst way to think about finances.

No, the worst is investing more than you can afford to lose.
@Zhi
But that’s not a mindset.
It is for me. My thinking is to only put in money I’m fine losing, no matter what happens.

What I mean is if it goes below 4.5, I’d lose more than if I sold now.

That’s true only if you need the cash. If you’ve invested money you don’t need right away, then just hold on.
I’m holding worldcoin too, and I’m waiting for it to go past $12. I think that’s not too crazy for this project.
@Will
Yeah, it’s still early days, and the price is low. I see meme coins with no future worth 10-20 times more than this.
If you can’t handle the ups and downs of crypto, then sell and get out. If a price drop is hurting your finances this much, you’re either doing it wrong or you don’t fully understand what you’re getting into.
- Don’t invest what you can’t lose.
- A drop from 6 to 4.5 is nothing in the crypto world. Look at TERRA, its price went straight to zero.
- A lot of Bitcoin miners are selling before the halving, and most altcoins move with Bitcoin, so when it falls, they fall too.
Crypto has a lot of risk. If you’ve put all your savings into an altcoin, that’s gambling. Fix your financial situation and mindset if that’s the case.

Did you just say Terra? flashbacks to Terra crash

Terra’s CEO is Korean, by the way.
Yeah, buy high and sell low!
I hope you sell. Sellers like you help people like me make money. Some of us have been waiting for years for this drop before the halving… if you’ve been in crypto for a while, you know what I mean!
Everything is down now and will probably stay that way until the Bitcoin halving. Now’s the time to buy.
This is just gambling. You might want to reach out to a gambling support group. In the UK, crypto exchanges are actually regulated under gambling laws, not finance laws. Think about that.
If you want big gains, you also have to be ready for big losses. If this is a big hit to your finances, maybe crypto isn’t for you.
I put all my savings into worldcoin when it was at 8.4, now I have almost nothing left, but I’m still buying more. I believe in the project. It’s scary, but there’s no need to panic.

Same here! I’ve lost 50% of what I had, but I still believe in the project. I think it’ll bounce back when Sora AI comes out.
