Hello everyone, I’m studying computer science and I’ve noticed many classmates getting into crypto trading. I’d like to start learning about crypto trading as well. Could you share some helpful resources for complete beginners
You can check out EmperorBTC on Telegram and Twitter. They have simple guides for beginners where you can learn the basics.
You could also watch some videos on YouTube.
Trading requires hard work. Once you grasp Price Action and how markets function, it can become simpler.
Wishing you good luck

Thanks for sharing this. EmperorBTC seems promising. Did it really help you with trading

Yes, it helped me a lot. I also had a mentor who would review my charts and guide me.
I’ve learned so much since then that now I assist others. It’s all about passing it on.
I joined a few Telegram groups where I met generous folks eager to teach at no cost. You’d be surprised, there are always good people around if you ask nicely.
It took months of studying and practicing, but now my win rate is over 70%, which is quite good for this market. There’s still much to learn though. You know the saying, you’ll never stop learning.
It also helps to follow some influencers on Twitter who share charts with explanations.
YouTube can be helpful but can also confuse you more. That’s why I recommend starting with EmperorBTC’s reading materials first. There’s also ThinkMarkets, which has free and easy-to-understand guides.
Hope this helps. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you need more help

Thanks for the info. It can be overwhelming for beginners.
I’ll send you a message.

No problem.
Just be careful of scammers. Never give your money to someone else to invest for you. Many people ask for help and only get replies like ‘dm me’ - that’s a warning sign.
@Lyric
I learned this the hard way when I started. I got caught by a copy-trader pretending to be a YouTuber.
Now I’m cautious about trusting people, but it’s a lesson learned.
@Lyric
Hi! Thanks for the resources. I’ve just started reading EmperorBTC’s manuals. How did you find a legit mentor? Thanks a lot

I have a few mentors
I mainly browsed through Twitter at first and studied the charts they posted. It took time, but it helped me learn different perspectives. Some folks just post nonsense and don’t really know much (you can spot those big accounts that are mostly bots-followers).
I practiced charting on my own using a demo account and Tradingview. Now, I hardly visit Twitter. I spend at least an hour charting BTC, USDT.D, and a few others. If I’m confident in my analysis, I trade; if not, I play it safe.
Understanding macroeconomics is also beneficial since timing is key in trading (for instance, Q2 - Q3 is typically bearish).
There’s a lot to share, but I hope this helps even a bit. Feel free to message me if you’d like, but I don’t consider myself an expert trader - I take losses too… Nobody has a 100% win rate. Block anyone who claims they do!
@Lyric
Thanks a lot for this!! I’m feeling overwhelmed with all the information out there, so it’s reassuring to know I’m not alone.
I’m looking through the resources you shared and I’ll respect your time, so I’ll reach out after I finish those. I just created a TradingView account and I’m trying to wrap my head around it. Do you have any other people I should follow on Twitter for learning how to read charts
@Marlo
Good luck!
My first mentor turned out to be someone who was apparently scamming people with P2P services, but he at least taught me the basics.
Regarding TradingView, it can be overwhelming with too many indicators. I started by simply drawing support/resistance on Binance charts before adding trendlines. You might want to start there.

Are there any YouTubers you can recommend?

Not really. I learn better from reading. I used to follow some YouTubers for basic knowledge (like coin analysis). But I’ve realized that a coin with great fundamentals can still go nowhere. Now I mainly focus on technical analysis and some macroeconomic news. Maybe someone else could suggest someone to you…
@Lyric
I get that. I usually shy away from YouTubers with millions of views and prefer smaller ones with a good community. I’m just trying to find where experienced traders get news about tokens that are doing well at the moment. I also want to know about Bitcoin-related news for regular traders. What does TA mean

Podcasts are a fantastic way to learn about cryptocurrencies and trading on the go.
Start with beginner-friendly materials and slowly advance as you learn. Just remember to manage risk properly and never invest more than you can afford to lose when trading cryptocurrencies.
