I was simply thinking about an old game I used to play called Cookie Clicker when I had this weird thought.
Is it feasible to mine a PoW cryptocurrency like bitcoin using the same clicker mechanism? Or is there one that is already in place?
Please let me know if you know of anything or if you think this is a good idea.
There are some clicker games that mix cryptocurrency with gameplay, like Musk Empire and Crypto Clicker. In Musk Empire, you tap to mine virtual coins, upgrade your tech mogul, and invest in a simulated stock market. Crypto Clicker lets you tap through currency blocks to find hidden crypto treasures. While these games don’t mine real-world crypto like Bitcoin, they offer a fun, gamified take on the concept. For actual mining, though, you’d need serious hardware since clickers just can’t cut it.
Mining Bitcoin with a clicker mechanism isn’t feasible due to its high computational requirements. However, some PoW cryptocurrencies, like Dogecoin, have less intensive mining, though still not clicker-friendly.
