Are crypto jobs worth pursuing

I am curious if anyone could share their experiences or insights about working in the crypto industry
What are the advantages of working at companies like Coinbase, Crypto.com, or Cardano Foundation compared to a well-known Fortune 500 company
I imagine job security might not be great
Are salaries usually higher there Are you paid mostly in fiat
Do you receive big bonuses in crypto
How does career growth compare to other markets
Is work-life balance better
Do you feel more respected
Any other positives or negatives

I would love to hear your thoughts on whether a career in crypto is a smart move or if it’s better to keep crypto and work separate. I find the idea of working in a field I am passionate about and that I believe could change the world really appealing, but I might be naive.

Any tech skills you develop in web3 or crypto should help you in the future. Programming and IT management skills are usually always in demand even if specific programming languages may change.

Exactly. If you have experience in the industry, it could be highly valuable in the years to come.

Yes, IT and cybersecurity are always going to be needed.

If you’re like Vitalik, then yes.

If you’re like Do Kwon, then no.

Man, I wish I was as smart as Vitalik. I should have listened to my teachers and focused more on math classes.

It really depends on the type of job you get.

If you are a good developer or executive, cryptocurrency companies offer great pay to attract talent from traditional tech fields.

But if you are in roles like marketing or customer support, it is similar to regular jobs. So go for the job you think you’ll enjoy that pays the best. The grass isn’t always greener just because the pay is higher.

Yep, great response. You can buy crypto with money from any job if that’s what you want (and for many, it is about that). Get the best paying job possible and dollar-cost average. If you are a developer or have a very specific crypto job that excites you, that is a different story.

What is crypto mainly built for It’s primarily for financial transactions.

So…

Look for a finance organization you like and apply. I work in fintech and deal with crypto. It’s not exactly a ‘crypto career’ because there isn’t such a thing. It’s a career in finance or technology that may involve crypto.

Fintechs pay well, so in my opinion, yes it’s worth it.

Imagine losing your job unexpectedly like a rug pull.

It might not be a serious job but someone has to do it.

The earlier you get in, the more valuable it seems.

You might find yourself without a job every four years when the market turns down.

First, they should hire based on what is in your portfolio.
