Sadly, he said in the interview that Apple has no plans for this. They do allow crypto wallet apps though.

I doubt this will happen. Even Apple Pay uses major banks for transactions. The Apple credit card is actually through a third party; they don’t process their transactions.
Maybe there could be a crypto credit card via another service, but otherwise, it would just work with a QR code or something similar.

If Apple created their own Level 2 payment service, they could successfully set up a consumer-facing blockchain system. They could even create a Proof of Stake system verified by any Apple device. The only thing holding them back is regulations.

They won’t do this, but if they did, it would likely be with a partner like Coinbase. It would probably just be custodial BTC.
