That takes me back to Police Squad!

For me, the sign is when normal people start chatting about it at the bar.

My own shoeshine guy just asked me which is better, Solflare or Phantom, to store his 6 Solana tokens…

@Brooke
This resonates with me; I have someone particular in mind. My manager.

He analyzes everything I do as if I’m a role model and I mentioned Bitcoin to him a few months back.

He wasn’t into it.

Even if he doesn’t say he bought some, if he starts discussing crypto or Bitcoin in general, I’ll be trimming half my position within the week.

@Brooke
For me, it was during October 2021 when my wife – who doesn’t care about crypto at all – mentioned her friend’s husband told her to ‘buy Litecoin’. That was my cue to leave.

@Brooke
Lmao, that’s so true. This happens every time, like clockwork.

@Brooke
Someone like… grandpa?

Nah, the new government is talking about buying 1 million Bitcoins over 5 years. No signs there.

So, as the original poster reported, one grandpa wants to get some Bitcoins.

Grandpas are calling the bank in droves wanting to buy Bitcoin? Thanks for the heads-up to DCA out.

I mean, it’s just hearsay from a guy who said ‘crypto.cum’. Still sounds like a rumor to me rather than a sell-the-news scenario.

I’ve been in crypto for years and this general optimism feels different, like real change is coming.

And even if it’s only an illusion, price changes are definitely real.

Too soon. It takes a while for them to share their ‘success’ at bingo night, church, and the next family gathering.

We wait until their wives start calling the banks asking them to stop their husbands from moving their retirement savings.

Still the beginning.

“Someone else buying crypto? That’s my exit sign” – every other comment on this forum.

Alts are just starting to move, and BTC has broken above resistance. There’s likely a lot of room left to grow…

We have four months left. After these four months, make sure to DCA out or cash out entirely…

We might be at the end of December 2020 or October 2017, as this is exactly what happened. Make money, but from mid-January 2025 to late February 2025, don’t shift into other altcoins, don’t overtrade; every trade you make should be converted to your local currency, and transferred to the bank.

That’s my (non-financial) advice.

@Stormy
Why USDT before converting to fiat? Why not go straight to fiat? Are you referring to DeFi transactions?

Most altcoins don’t have a direct pair with their local currencies, but if they do, you can go straight to fiat.

I’ve heard stories of exchanges being fine until you want to withdraw into fiat. I mean, the big exchanges like Coinbase suddenly require proof of funds and freeze your account. That’s why I think it’s best to manage risks, convert to stablecoins, withdraw, and then send back in portions to cash out.

@Stormy
I think we are still a year from the peak of this cycle. Expect a few drops of around 30% along the way.

I believe we’ll see prices above 100k (my guess is about 125k), followed by a 30-40% drop, then people will think the cycle is over. But then we will rally again.

I think we have enough momentum now to hit prices above 200k this market cycle.

That’s how I see the outlook.

@Marlone
You’re dreaming.

Indeed. It’s starting, everyone. Thanks for sharing this. That sort of insight is why I stick around on this forum. :ok_hand:
