Which currency should a beginner consider buying now

BTC, ETH, LINK, and you might consider some FIL too.

I started about three years ago, and if I could do it over, I’d just stick with Bitcoin and Ethereum. It took me a year to grasp the tech, fundamentals, tokenomics, and overall concepts of crypto and blockchain. I’m involved in about 30 projects across different ecosystems now and feel good about around 25 of them, but it didn’t happen overnight.

@Tenzin
Filecoin is on its way to becoming the go-to storage solution for crypto, archiving data for both Bitcoin and Solana. That’s been a big topic recently.

@Tenzin
Definitely agree with that.

If you’re unsure what to buy, just stick with Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Beginners should focus on solid projects and do thorough research before making decisions.

Since you’re new, it’s hard to determine whether you’re an investor or a trader.

For long-term, focus on Bitcoin and explore altcoins. For short-term, consider meme coins and altcoins with high volatility.

Honestly, anything is possible. But I’d suggest sticking to the top 10 to 20 coins on coinmarketcap.com and starting there.

Say this exactly: “I don’t know.”

Get the Crypto.com app and wallet and try completing the little quests there. It’s a good way for a beginner to learn some basics.

Many people ask for my advice, and I tell them I can suggest 3 or 4 coins with strong fundamentals. But I stress they should only invest what they can afford to lose. If they have some extra money, that’s fine. Always remind them of the risks involved.

@Sutton
Coins with strong fundamentals for future investments include Inj, Fet, and Vra. These could be solid options, but remember to do your own research.

How about the humorous coin ‘CULO’ :joy::rocket:

I’d joke about you mailing your cash to me, but enough people do that already, so maybe I shouldn’t.

Dogecoin still needs to recover its previous high.

Stick to safe options; the returns may be lower, but so is the risk of losing everything. There are plenty of meme coins that are just hype without a real foundation. Invest in the whitepapers, not the hype surrounding the coins.

Hedera and Filecoin have made waves this past week. Filecoin is set to archive data for Bitcoin and Solana, while Hedera is onboarding AI projects. Do your own research on this.

Just stick with Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Fetch.Ai is worth a look!

Bitcoin, an L1 like Ethereum, and an oracle token like Chainlink.
