So do they make new ones each year, or do you have to buy the ones that already exist? I’m new to all this and confused
NFTs come in collections. Think of a collection as a set of similar-looking NFTs where each one is still unique. One of the most well-known collections is the ‘Bored Ape Club,’ where all the apes look alike but each is different in its own way.
Tomorrowland has launched several NFT collections over the years. Three of them are important because if you own at least one NFT from each collection, you get access to a special ‘NFT-only’ sale with lots of tickets.
Once you have the required three NFTs, you don’t need to buy more; you’ll always have access to this special sale.
You can’t buy these NFTs directly from Tomorrowland anymore. Instead, you’ll need to buy them from people who already own them through a marketplace called ‘Magic Eden.’ You’ll use a cryptocurrency called ‘Solana’ (SOL) to buy them.
Prices for each NFT can vary a lot:
- https://magiceden.io/marketplace/tomorrowland_winter costs 14.75 SOL
- https://magiceden.io/marketplace/the_reflection_of_love costs 4.51 SOL
- https://magiceden.io/marketplace/tomorrowland_love_unity costs 1.19 SOL
Right now, 1 SOL is 171.83 EUR.
So, to join the next NFT sale, you need to:
- Buy around 21 SOL on an app like Binance for about 3500 EUR
- Create a free account on https://phantom.app (where you can store your NFTs and SOL)
- Transfer the SOL to your Phantom account
- Use Phantom to open Magic Eden
- Buy the three NFTs listed above using your SOL
When the sale starts, go to the Tomorrowland NFT sale page using Phantom to prove you own the NFTs. Fill out a form, and you’ll get a private link to the sale.
You won’t need to buy more NFTs or SOL again. You can close the Phantom app for a whole year if you want.
Next year, just reopen the Tomorrowland NFT sale page with Phantom, fill out the form, and get access to the sale again.

This is super helpful, thank you so much!

Just keep in mind, there’s a deadline to register for the sale. If you miss it, you’ll lose your spot.

Do you know when the deadline usually is?
@Francis
Usually about a week before the sale, so probably late November or early December.
@Francis
Everything important is posted on Discord. If you don’t have an account, make one. You can find all the announcements there, and if you have any questions, just ask in the chat or submit a ticket.
@Drue
Great breakdown! Just wanted to add—you can buy SOL directly on Phantom using your credit card. No need for Binance. Also, make sure you write down your backup phrase and keep it safe.
@Drue
Great explanation!
@Drue
Just to add, you need to have the NFTs at a specific time when Tomorrowland takes a snapshot. I believe you still need them when the sale starts. So technically, you can buy the NFTs just before the snapshot, get your tickets, and then sell the NFTs again. But there’s always a risk that the value of the NFTs could change, or it could take longer to sell them. This could help people who want to go but find the NFTs too expensive.
@Zach
Yeah, good point!
@Drue
Thanks for breaking that down and explaining it in a way that’s easy to understand!
There are three different NFTs you need to buy from other people. They were made in the past, and no new ones will be created. Once you have all three, you’ll have access to the pre-sale every year. Sometimes there are extra perks, but they’re not guaranteed. You can buy four tickets during the NFT presale, but you’re not promised specific types of tickets since there are limited amounts of each.
@Maxwell
But you’re guaranteed at least 4 weekend MG tickets, right?

I’m not sure if they’re ‘guaranteed,’ but I’ve never heard of anyone with NFTs missing out on MG tickets. I’d say it’s a safe bet.

Yeah, you pretty much get what you want. Last year’s pre-sale had plenty of tickets for days.

True. I’ve had an NFT medallion since the start, and I usually don’t even log in until a few hours after the sale starts. Never had any issues.
@Lilyharper
Do you use a separate page on the Tomorrowland app or website? And how do you know when tickets go on sale? Thanks!
