How can we bring back the excitement for DeFi

This summer had a lot of scams and many people interested in DeFi got hurt and left the space. It’s frustrating because I believe there is still a lot of potential in DeFi. How can we bring them back or attract new people

Time and money printing seem to fix everything :joy:

Right? Lol

So many scams

People getting hurt multiple times

If you know why people left DeFi, do you know what the issue is What needs to be fixed Once you know the problem, you can find a solution.

To grow the DeFi community and attract new investments, changes are necessary. We still see the same problems happening: DeFi projects that just take investors’ money and give weak excuses for their losses. Then they do nothing to help investors who lost money.

Which projects are untrustworthy and should be avoided Start naming them Investors need to know which DeFi projects and developers are not reliable.

Which projects have a history of bad security, have let people down, and did nothing to help investors? Call them out.

Which projects are trustworthy Which have good, clean code that has been audited for security Which projects have a capped market supply and did not pre-mint most of it for developers

Which projects are too new, not audited, and look suspicious

We don’t

That’s a bit negative. So what should we do

You need a new story, which could include a lot from what we used to call DeFi. Just add some new ideas to it and find a fresh name for it

To make DeFi exciting again, we need to see returns like we had in 2021. We’re getting there because we now have projects like Parasail Network offering returns as high as 18% on FIL

Bitcoin will bring back the excitement. Once people see how safe it is to use Bitcoin without bridging or wrapping, they will return. I’ve seen a practical example of it through ZetaBlockchain and I’m hopeful about the future of DeFi and DEX

The DeFi space has really taken a hit. We need more solid proof and new ideas to regain trust. There’s a project called Pyreswap that looks promising, but I’m being careful because of past letdowns. They say they are fully decentralized and transparent, but we’ve heard that before. I’m not sure if this is the innovation we need
