A few months ago, after meme coins started getting popular, I decided to check out profitable crypto wallets. My goal was to see how people were trading and maybe learn something from them since a lot of people were making big profits. I thought maybe I could copy some of their trades.
There were plenty of wallet trackers for ETH, BSC, BASE, AVAX, etc. But for Solana, which has become a hub for meme coins, there weren’t many good trackers at first, though that’s improved now.
Anyway, I picked up a few tips along the way and thought I’d share them for anyone interested in the same tools and wallets.
Here are the best free tools I use to find profitable crypto wallets:
- Dexscreener
- Birdeye.so
- Dexwhales.xyz
- Arkhamintelligence
- zerion.io
- Blockchain explorers (like Etherscan, Solscan, etc)
There are some other tools out there, but these are the ones I stick to.
Dexscreener is one of my favorites. If you’re into meme coin trading or any kind of dex trading, you probably know it. But there’s a feature that many overlook: the “Top Traders” tab. It shows the top 100 profitable traders for a specific coin. If you click on the transactions (“TXNS”) of a wallet, you can see all their trades. This helps me figure out how the trader is placing their orders. If I see a wallet starting with a sell and no previous buys, it usually means the trader is an insider or possibly the coin’s creator. That’s a red flag for me.
Another red flag is when a trader sells exactly at the top, and the token price drops after their sell. This usually means the wallet holds a large number of coins or is a well-known address people follow. When bots copy these trades, the price can fall by the time you’re trying to copy, so it’s not a good idea to follow those trades.
Next, I use Birdeye, mostly to check the PnL (profit and loss) for Solana addresses. Other tools like Arkham or Zerion don’t support Solana at the moment, so Birdeye is my go-to for that.
After finding a wallet on Dexscreener, I check Birdeye to see if it’s been profitable across several coins or just one. It’s good to know if the wallet has a consistent track record.
Another tool I came across recently is Dexwhales. It makes tracking easier by linking wallets to their PnL or transaction pages. You can also see who’s made profits in multiple coins. But don’t copy wallets that are profitable in a lot of coins; many of them are bots, not traders.
For EVM-compatible chains like ETH, BASE, AVAX, BSC, and ARBITRUM, I use Arkhamintelligence. Zerion has similar features. Both are good for checking the PnL of EVM wallets and their trades. Like Birdeye, they help me decide if a wallet is worth copying.
So, in short, Dexwhales is great for finding profitable addresses, Birdeye is my go-to for Solana PnL, Zerion and Arkhamintelligence are good for EVM chains, and Dexscreener helps me dig into transactions to decide if a wallet is worth following.
That’s pretty much how I find profitable wallets. Does anyone know any other useful tools? Or have a different strategy for finding good crypto addresses?
