I’ve been trying to figure out the best crypto exchanges for September 2024, and IDK which one to use. There are so many options, and the fees and number of coins vary a lot. Any suggestions? I’d love to hear what’s working for you!
I’ve been using Coinbase for a while now. It’s super easy to use, especially for beginners. The fees can be a little confusing, though. Just a heads up!

Yeah, I saw Coinbase is a popular choice. How confusing are the fees, though? Is it worth it?
@Zacky
It’s not too bad, just some fees for certain types of transactions. They show you before you finalize, so no surprises.
@Zacky
I use Coinbase too, and honestly, it’s great if you’re just starting out. The app is really user-friendly.
I tried Crypto.com… it’s got a TON of coins, like 350+, so if you’re into variety, it’s a good pick. Fees aren’t bad either.

Wait, 350+? That’s wild. Do they have any cool staking rewards or anything?
@Kerry
Yeah, they used to, but not in the U.S. anymore. It’s still good for just trading, though.
@Kerry
That’s a bummer about the rewards, but 350+ coins is solid. Might have to check it out!
Anyone else still using Robinhood for crypto? I know it’s not the best, but it’s convenient since I already use it for stocks.

I used Robinhood for a bit, but you can’t trade crypto-to-crypto. You need a separate wallet for that.
@MaryJane
Oh right, I forgot about that. I guess I’ll look into other platforms if I get more serious about crypto.
Kraken’s been solid for me. Low fees, and it’s got a lot of crypto-to-crypto pairs. But it’s not available in New York, which sucks for my friends.

What do you mean by crypto-to-crypto pairs?
@Harper
It just means you can trade one crypto for another without converting to USD first.
@Harper
Got it! Sounds cool. I’ll have to look into Kraken.
Gemini is decent for more advanced traders. The fees can be high, but it’s got great crypto-to-crypto options.

Gemini’s fees are kinda high for my taste. Have you looked at any alternatives?
@CryptoChatter
Yeah, I’m thinking of trying Kraken. Seems like it’s got lower fees for active trading.
