Am I missing the chance for a DIP or will I be left behind

I have 4k that I want to invest in XRP, XLM, SUI, SEI, OM or maybe some other altcoins. I know it’s not a huge amount but I just want to get in.

I’ve been watching the market for 10 days straight waiting for a good entry but it feels like I’m always missing the chance and everything just keeps rising.

Should I stay patient and trust that a dip is coming? I don’t want to FOMO in again as that’s my specialty.

I need a plan because I feel lost. HELP this lost soul with your knowledge and advice.

EDIT: F*CK IT, I PULLED THE TRIGGER AND INVESTED IN:

  1. XLM
  2. ONDO
  3. SEI
  4. SUI

KEPT HALF TO DCA/DIP.

There will always be a big dip no matter how strong the rise looks. Don’t fall for FOMO, it’s better to miss out on gains than to lose money buying at a high point. The crypto market isn’t going anywhere and will still be here for many more cycles.

I lost nearly 20k due to FOMO. I’m slowly gaining back little by little. I’ve learned to manage my emotions and no longer jump on every pumping token. Instead, I wait for BTC to make a major move before entering the tokens I’m interested in and cash out after a decent gain.

@Adley
How long do these pump and dump cycles usually last in your experience? What do you think BTC will be after the next decline? Sorry I’m new to crypto.

Check the 5-year chart on CoinMarketCap.

@Adley
I get what you’re saying, but it’s easier said than done. I’m trying to hold on and not act on my emotions.

Honestly, I think the hardest part is buying when it’s low, rather than not buying when it’s high. This used to be when I stayed inactive when things didn’t look good.

But I also think time is a huge factor; the more cycles you go through, the better you’ll get at making moves when things are trading at a discount.

Just DCA over the next few months if you want to be a bit safer.

I don’t know anything but right now it feels like choose a boat and hold on tight.

I regret not putting more in Bitcoin but I was worried about mistakes from last time.

I’m staying patient, watching and waiting for a nice entry into the bull run and planning to sell quickly, or just waiting for the bull run to end and I’ll start DCAing into Bitcoin, maybe take a gamble on an altcoin.

I’m only thinking about the long term.

@Cade
I feel the same way.

One side of me tells me to just invest right now (like today) and forget about it.

The other side says to wait for a crash and DCA all the way into the bear market.

Is this your first cycle? Don’t try to time the market, and stay away from shitcoins that have already pumped hard recently.

Just start DCA now. Start with a smaller amount and if the price drops, buy more. Just my view.

You might be waiting a while for the next bear market :joy:.

@Paden
Two years max. Big chance it will be the end of 2025.

This is the start of the run. The dips you see are just typical market fluctuations.
And please, don’t invest your mortgage payment in crypto. FOMO can be dangerous and people can lose a lot of money.

@MintMuse1
Yes, you’re right, man.

I’ve only been investing what I can afford to lose. Worst case is just having to eat noodles and water for a month or two.

@MintMuse1
But be ready for big pullbacks on the way up. Most likely in December or January once the hype slows down.

@Cade
I wish I had invested more in Ripple! :joy:

I heard about a guy who sold his Lambo to dump money into XRP, and I thought that’s crazy. Then the next week it triples in price.

@Cade
Same here. The only thing I’m absolutely sure about is that I have no idea what I’m doing haha.

@Cade
Bitcoin will likely be lower than this price in 3 years. You’ll miss the chance to sell in 2025. If you’re in for the long term, that might not matter.
I’m predicting 200k, which is probably too optimistic. But if it hits 150k during a bear market, Bitcoin usually drops over 50%.
That’s why I’m sticking to alts for bigger gains. I’ll use those profits to buy Bitcoin during the bear market. No matter what happens, there’s always a bear market every four years.

Does the little baby dip even matter if everything is still going up by more than 5 times?
